Career to Date

My career as a producer began by accident when I bought Firle Yasmina for a friend’s daughter. I produced and led this pony to be mini-champion at HOYS in 1993. Subsequently I produced her full brother Firle Eastern Spice to win the RIHS in 1995 with the same little girl on board. Other top winning ponies were Kelsborrow Heart throb, Barkway Felicity, Abbeyvale Titania and Rosslyn Spring Meeting. These all qualified each year for RIHS and HOYS.

Autumn 1998 saw me move to the Blundell family to take charge of their stable of ponies. This was a wonderful opportunity and in the next ten years I produced many champions from L.R. to H.Wr. hunters. See Gallery.

During this time both Sally and I had 4 days a month training with dressage rider John Lasseter.

In 2003 I was invited to judge at the EFA Horse of the Year at Werribee near Melbourne, Australia – awesome! ( I am in the B.S.H.A. and C.H.A.P.S. judging panels )

In 2009 I helped the Blyth family by teaching the children Ellie and Josh, and giving advice on pony production. At the RIHS Ellie won the home produced F.R. and was Res.Ch. riding Mompesson Late Night Party.

HOYS was even better with Caystone Cayti not only winning the M&M. F.R. for Ellie but also the M&M. L.R. for Josh and then being M&M. Mini Ch.
