Are Shavings good for my stable

I prefer to use shavings in my stable as I personally think it makes the stable easier to clean and the stables do not smell as bad as straw.
Cost wise I don’t find that there is a huge difference but that all depends on how deep you make your beds, but timewise shavings is definitely quicker.
